About us
Dockside Roastery was created by two friends in Liverpool overlooking the Mersey who share a passion for all things coffee. As a small independent local roaster we pride ourselves on offering a personalised service to all of our customers, and we're always happy to engage in conversation about coffee! What makes us different...
As a speciality coffee roaster we only select premium grade green beans. They are hand selected from multiple samples by our founders based on their unique characteristics following a thorough cupping process.

For each of our beans we spend time perfecting an individual roast profile to suit each coffee based on these characteristics. Whether it is highlighting the various acidic qualities, enhancing the caramel or nutty notes, balancing clarity with body, and many many more. These are thoroughly tested through further cupping prior to release. We roast in small batch only (600g) using the latest induction technology and infra red sensors to enhance our temperature control.

All beans are roasted fresh and dispatched within 2 weeks of roast. We recommend allowing a minimum 7 days for 'degassing' prior to consumption to ensure they are at their best..

Having developed many great relationships within the coffee community over the last few years - we understand the value of giving back.

We support the conviction that we, as an industry, harness the power to deliver true socio-economic change. This is both at home in our local communities, and afar - within the farms and their families who work harder and harder in an ever-challenging and changing climate; supplying us with fantastic and unique coffees each year.

Our vision is to give back - we plan to continue raising money and supporting the industry as a whole, as we recently achieved with a successful fundraiser for a local coffee shop.

On a wider scale, we only use suppliers that give back to local communities and farmers. We value traceability shown within our detailed descriptions of each coffee.
